Freshman pitcher Lauren Cognigni made Hawk history Saturday, pitching only the second ever perfect game in program history. Cognigni struck out six, while setting down 15-consecutive Lafayette batters in Saint Joseph's 9-0 win over the Leopards. Cognigni went 1-1 on the week, falling in a 7-6 extra-inning affair to Monmouth and pitching three scorless innings of releif versus Albany on Sunday. Cognigni finished the week with 17 strikeouts in 16 innings of work.
