Webb Earns All-Conference Honors as Hawks Place Eighth at Atlantic 10 Golf Championship

ORLANDO, FL - Boasted by the play of Atlantic 10 All-Conference member Josh Webb, the Saint Joseph's golf team capped its season with an eighth-place finish at the 2008 Atlantic 10 Championship Sunday. As a team, the Hawks shot a weekend-best 287 in Sunday's final round at the Orange County National Golf Center (par-72), to finish with a three-round score of 298-303-287/888. Individually, Webb carded a three-under par 69 Sunday, carding an impressive 70-76-69/215 to cap his rookie campaign. Webb earned All-Conference honors after finishing tied for 10th place. Senior Colin Corrigan finished his SJU career tied for 22nd with a score of 76-75-70/221, while sophomore Zach Smith carded a 75-77-70/222. Sophomore Bill Macknis finished 48th (77-75-82/234), while junior Steve Hudacek rounded out the five-man squad, finishing tied for 49th (78-79-78/235). Charlotte, ranked fifth in the nation, won the team title with a score of 837, while Rob Chappell of Dayton won medalist honors with a score of 205.
