Hawks Place Eighth at Joe Agee Golf Invitational

Providence-Forge, VA - The Saint Joseph's golf team finished eighth among 18 teams at the Joe Agee Invitational as the Hawks posted a final-round score of 295 yesterday.

Saint Joseph's posted a three-round score of 296-287-295/878, finishing 36 strokes behind tournament winner Old Dominion (842). Loyola, who held a one stroke lead heading into the final round, placed second, nine strokes back (851).

Individually, sophomore Steve Hudacek led the Hawks with a three-round score of 76-70-72/218 to earn a tie for 24th place. Senior Chris Reedman shot a 73-72/77/222 to tie for 36th place, while freshman Cole Willcox tied for 41st place after carding a three-round score of 73-75-75/223. Senior Phil Arouca and junior Colin Corrigan both finished tied for 50th after posting three-round scores of 226.

Richmond's Jordan Utley (205) earned medalist honors by one stroke over Loyola's Blake Furgeson.

Saint Joseph's returns to action Saturday and Sunday, October 14-15, at the Big 5 Invitational.
