The members of SJU's Lightweight 8 crew have been named The Hawk Athletes of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, March 26.

Rowing in the heavyweight event at the Murphy Cup, the smaller lightweight crew (155 lb average weight) finished second to Temple in their heat and placed third in the final ahead of the SJU Heavyweights (0.3 seconds), Lehigh (10.9 seconds) and La Salle (29 seconds).

The crew consisted of coxswain John Hayes, Sean Riley, Joe D'Amato, Devlin Murdock, Adam Stoll, Mark Malott, William West, Steve Ramsey and Kevin Jacobs.
