Saint Joseph's men's track performer Mike DiDio has been named The Hawk Athlete of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, May, 7. DiDio was named the Most Outstanding Track Performer at the 2006 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

DiDio finished first in the 1,500m with a time of 3:50.19. The time set a new Atlantic 10 Championship record. DiDio also placed third in the 5,000m with 14:36.70, a time that beat the previous record of 14:40.51. In addition, DiDio was a member of the 4x800 team that placed second at the Championships with a 7:31.37 time, qualifying them for the IC4As.
