Women's Indoor Track & Field Wraps Up Regular Season at NYU Fastrack

NEW YORK, N.Y.--The Saint Joseph's women's track team wrapped up its regular season Friday night at the NYU Fastrack Meet hosted by the Armory Track Center. Junior Natalie Miller posted an indoor best in the high jump (5-5) and Amy Rhein (18:21.48) posted a fourth place showing in the 5,000m run for the Hawks. Jordan Teuber sprinted to a fifth place finish in the 200m Dash Invitational with a time of 25.09 as well. Her time broke the school record previously held by Andria Smythe (25.17). Teuber will compete next weke at the ECAC meet in Boston. The 4x400m Relay squad ran a season-best 3:56.48 en route to a sixth place showing. Teuber ran the third leg, while Nicole McMullen led the relay off, handing to Kristin Pierce and Kristin Andrews anchoring the relay. Miller, who was stuck on 5-3 for most of the season, leapt over the bar for the 5-5 height, her best showing indoors at the very competitive meet. Rhein, a junior long distance runner, powered her way to fourth, en route to running a solid 18:21.48. Teuber, the senior track captain, saw her 200m dash effort turn into a time of 25.09. Sophomore Nicole McMullen followed Teuber less than a third of a second behind with her eighth place finish in a time of 25.45. Another top finish on the day for the Hawks was put together by Anna Cushing in the 800m run, notching ninth place. Her time of 2:18.87 was tops for SJU and one of her better times this season.
