PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Junior Andrea Florida (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) was named to the 2008 Atlantic 10 Women's Indoor Track Academic All-Conference Team on Friday. The honor is the second for the junior who has been named to the 2007 A-10 Cross Country All-Academic team and the PhillySIDA/Philadelphia Inquirer All-Academic team once before in 2006.

Florida finished sixth in the 3,000m run at the Atlantic 10 Championships on October February 16. In addition to that, she posted personal and team-bests in the Mile and 3,000m runs this season. Florida is a food marketing major with a 3.86 cumulative GPA.

La Salle's Rachel Papin and Charlotte's Ryan Jank were named A-10 Student-Athletes of the Year in women's and men's indoor track & field, respectively, in voting conducted among the Conference's sports information directors.

Only 15 members were named to the women's and men's cross country All-Academic teams.

The SJU women's track squad wrapped up the indoor track regular season last night at the New York University Fastrack Invitational.
